I'm stumped!

Okay, it makes me sad.... As the workers were digging up one of the gardens in order to eventually pour additional slab, they came across the biggest, toughest stump! It took hours of digging & pulling with tractors & men. Can you imagine the size of the oak tree that was cut down??? So sad :(
Yeah! They finally got it out! WooHoo - finally!

You're doing WHAT?!?!

When I pulled up, I noticed the front door open to the "big house" (as we refer to it)..... not a big deal since there are workers coming in & out (and since we're living next door in the "little house"). Later, when coming back to the car, a worker was bringing a muddy wheelbarrel out the front door!!!!

Evidently, it is so muddy on the side of the house, they can no longer take mud from that direction. They go from the back yard, THROUGH the house, & dump it into the mudpile! I know they'll be ripping everything out, but its just odd to see all that mud being hauled through my old kitchen & dinette.

Pray for us, friends!

9am on a weekend....

Oh, I know they di'nt (snap, snap, snap)!

The (de)construction crew must have been here at 8:45 and waited until 9am on the nose to start sawing through brick!!!! So much for my beauty sleep!

It was a chilly morning (for a native Houstonian) and I was snuggling with my baby girl (okay, she's 9; but she wasn't feeling well); & that's when it started. Ugh!

Sunday: Okay, although there was no banging or sawing Sunday morning, it was drudging through mud in church clothes - such a mess.

Let's get it started......

Some before pictures......

Okay, I thought I'd start this to give updates to (I'm pouting right now) my friends who've moved out of town...... and those in town but not allowed to muddle through the mud & mess to check out the status of our home remodel & our life in our 'man cave' (as Jason calls it).

We are staying in our guest house (aka 'the man cave' although I have forbidden Jason to call it that while we are living here). We need to make it 'our home'.

I just thought I'd try this (yikes!)!
