update

This is the car-port. Can you see the laundry room? It's the one with the 2 windows. The room is huge :)

This is the back of the house. They've filled in the ceiling.

You can see it better here.

I'm off to pick out my appliances. Yippee!

Wild, wacky, wonderful! House, kids....

Here are some updates. I can't wait to take some more pictures!

An advantage of being here & seeing it as they work, is finding 'bonuses'. = I think we are adding a door to the upstairs bedroom, and deck-in the addition part of the add-on (above the kitchen). This will mean I'll have walk-in storage on the 2nd floor. I won't HAVE to pull down the stairs to the attic (unless I WANT to store things up there!!!!) **** PLUS, I'll be taking over that bedroom; switching Hunter's room & my craft room! YEAH!

Lookin' good

The site has been cleaned! Atleast, inside, anyway :)

Can you see it coming together?

They are kickin' butt!

I came home and the roofing cover was already being added. The step before the shingles. There's still lots to do in the back, plus we're working on the roof line in back - pray for a solution!

By the way, Happy Belated Valentine's Day! xoxoxo

Jess' Valentine party, Audrey's Valentine Party
probably the last one :( I was interrupting Heart Bingo ;0

Okay, I had to throw this in there! My nephew & me posing... He is nothing but smiles! I watched him Sat. night & he was a dream!

Give it up for the handsome worker.....

This is my nephew.... isn't he cute!!!!

Okay, he thinks I live in a park with tons of toys!!!

He's in hog-heaven :)

This is one way to get my nephew to come visit me. Jason, how much would it cost to buy a tractor & bulldozer? j.k.

Not too pretty..... the driveway & our side entrance

The windows in the laundry room

This will be the pantry & lead to the laundry room

Its getting exciting! The weather was beautiful this weekend, too bad there wasn't any workers.

I wood!

Yeah, the carpenters are getting the wood up! I'm so excited!
The addition is the back 3/4 of the house plus adding more to meet up with the garage.

This is the back of the garage. Jas was making this addition for his 'tractor' (oversized ride-on mower). Today he mentioned making this more of a play room since its off the pool & outdoor kitchen - woo-hoo!!!!

This is the Great Room - doesn't look too great right now!

Soon, though, soon...... (not soon enough.... :)

Frame it up!

The wood is up!

What a beautiful day! God is shining his light!!!
Look, you can see the frame.
This is a picture of where the kitchen, pantry & laundry room will be expanded.

This is the back of the garage.... Jason needs a place for his tractor - oh brother!

This will be the enlarged dinette & the Great Room.
The slad without a frame is where the Outdoor Kitchen will be - yippee!

We're expecting ideal weather. I hope the guys work this Saturday (or atleast all day Friday)!

Steak dinner

I felt terrible! These guys stayed working until after 12am! I'm not sure what time they left 'cause I went to bed!
When I came home at 5, the cement trucks had pulled off & the 'guys' were smoothing out the slab. Every hour it looked like they were done. Then one of the workers went to get some fast food & they ate in the dark on the driveway!! :(

I would have ordered pizza had I known! The worst part about it was I was grilling steaks for our dinner!!!! (I really did think they were finished & leaving any minute, not realizing 'curing' a slab takes a LONG time).

I did send out cookies & sodas, though :)
Looking forward to the framers!

Finally!!!!

This big truck out my front window was the greatest sight ever! It meant the cement finally showed up and the slab would be poured. When I say (or write, rather), how dirty, muddy, & just plain filthy everything is, words don't do it justice.

There were 3 cement trucks waiting down the street while the 4th was in our driveway (mixing or whatever they do.... All 4 trucks emptied their load & had to come back - not sure how many times. All their work wore me out & had to go get a massage!

The picture above was actually the pumping truck. The cement truck pours concrete/cement into the pump truck & then a HUGE pipe looking thing was raised over our garage and the back slab was poured. They also did the front, but again, my back needed rubbing & I had to run.

Remaining time before completion: 9 months, 3 weeks, 6 days, & 23 hours (just kidding, I hope!)
